Summer-To-Fall Outfits That Should Be In Your Wardrobe

Stylish pieces don’t have to be kept in the back drawer during off-season. Great clothing pieces deserve to be worn all year round. Fashion enthusiasts keep their style momentum going even when days become shorter, and nights longer. Their secret? Restyling.

Breezy blouse

Fall is afoot; there’s no need to pack away cool and airy blouses worn in the summer. Keep them in season by pairing with a curve-hugging pencil skirt; a long, cool-toned trench coat; and a thick, snug scarf.

Light jeans

Denim is a timeless piece. While dark wash denim may be the center of attention throughout the colder months, summer-themed light jeans can still turn heads for the right reasons. Wearing these adds a more free-and-easy vibe to a fall staple like the plaid button-down.

Wide-leg cropped pants

Yes, it’s windy and chilly, but that shouldn’t stop one from rocking a pair of wide-leg cropped pants. Extend summer into the fall by pairing these pants with bright tops.

Denim skirt

Denim is for all seasons. Women can wear a denim button front skirt from summer to fall with no hesitations. Pair it with neutral-colored blouses to get the carefree look the new season calls for.
Mix and match to find the right outfit for the season. A woman will always have her favorite outfits and pieces that are just hard to put to rest. While there are a few pieces to ditch for dressing well, pieces listed above can help in the transition from summer to fall looks.

Moms, Here’s How You Can Accessorize Outfits With Scarves

The scarf is a wonderful, useful, and versatile accessory that almost everyone would like to pull off well. It takes a year-round task to keep a person stylish and comfortable at the same time. Mothers, with their nonstop job of taking care of their kids and everything else, can up their fashion game by adding flavor to outfits with scarves.

Scarves come in an abundance of styles. Not only are they worn during winter, but also in summer, with some looping them around their handbags. For basic outfits such as a combination of a plain shirt and a pair of jeans, Sunday dresses, and just about any outfit, hang a scarf around the neck as an accessory. Moms can style them as a simple loop. To add more character to any outfit, try these styles:

The Lazy Girl

The first step is to drape the scarf around the front of the neck to have the two ends hang down the back. Next, bring one side to the front, then bring the other side to the front and adjust it so as to have it hang a little lower than the other.

The Ascot

Wrap a long scarf around the neck and have one end hang a bit lower than the other. Cross the long end over the short end, then push the long end in and out of the loop round the neck then pull through. Finish the look by adjusting over the front in order to suit.

Ice blue

Ice blue is a refreshing shade that will brighten up office outfits. Not as plain as white and not as intimidating as black, icy blue hues give off a powerful and calm vibe, perfect for those who want to make a good impression.

Royal blue

Bold, straightforward, and daring, royal blue will surely catch people's attention. Perfect with muted and equally brighter tones, the shade exudes elegance and confidence even in more casual settings.

Navy blue

A closet favorite, navy blue flatters all body types and occasions. Perfect for formal gatherings and chill days, this shade is a must-have in every person's closet. A navy blue ensemble always looks elegant no matter the season.

Periwinkle

This pastel shade brings out a person’s charms. With a touch of purple, periwinkle is perfect for laid-back days reminiscent of spring. For those who have always used common blue shades, periwinkle can be a welcome addition that can mix well with traditional choices.

Perhaps one of the best things about sporting the color is that it can never look overdone. However, wearing the same shade from head to toe might not look good on everyone. When wearing blues, use light and dark combos for a modish touch.

Go for flowery or leafy prints Those who think that green isn't their color might change their minds if they find the perfect printed top. Flowery or leafy prints are a great way to go for a summery look. Those who want to look slender should use smaller prints while those who want to their figure to look fuller should go for large prints.

Pair with neutral hues Neutral colors such as gray, black, brown, and beige are safe choices for bold green pieces. Those who are going for a more formal or mature look can also rely on these earthy shades when pairing with green tops for office outfits. Using neutral colored blazers or cardigans can also add a sophisticated touch to a plain outfit.

Mix and match with pastel colors Dark greens are a great match for pastel colors. The bold color mixes well with muted tones of pink, purple, peach, and even yellow. Pairing a dark green top with pastel green bottoms or vice-versa can make for an interesting pairing. Pairing a light-colored scarf with a bold green piece can make an outfit look chic.

Green is a color that can look flattering on anyone. With the right styling and with personal flair, it can bring out a person’s best features.

Add Flair To An Outfit With a Statement Necklace

Statement necklaces seem to be holding their place when it comes to women's fashion. Despite the ever-changing trends, ladies are still sporting these eye-catching pieces that make an ordinary outfit look special. Below are some ways to add flair to your OOTD with a statement necklace:

Mix it with prints: Want to try something new? Don't be scared to pair your necklace with a printed shirt or blouse. Why not add a turquoise or layered silver necklace to a striped shirt? Or how about adding a chunky necklace to a floral blouse? These additions will make your outfit look stylish even on days when you don't really have much time to go through all the pieces in your closet.

Match it with plain tops: Plain tops are closet staples that will never go out of style. However, the look can be as common that you'll find other people wearing something similar to your outfit. When you're not feeling very fashionable, statement necklaces are a great addition to your otherwise plain outfit. A long necklace can add elegance to a white shirt and jeans ensemble.

Pair it with collared shirts: For the boss lady look, statement necklaces are the perfect addition to the classic work shirt ensemble. You can choose to wear it under or over the collar. Show off your elegance and feminine charm with chic choices that show your personal style. Who says you can't look fashionable while on the job?

A statement necklace can make or break an outfit. When choosing the perfect one, keep in mind your own style preferences and closet staples. Have fun!

Five ways to wear white pants all year long

White pants are a closet staple for any woman looking for both comfort and chic. “Comfort” might seem inappropriate, as white tends to emphasize every curve or lack of it, and it can get really dirty if one’s having an active day. So here are tips to rock them with confidence no matter what time of the year.

Be stylish in them while on a vacation

White pants are a great travel piece for their fantastic flexibility: they’re great when sightseeing, basking in the sun and on the beach or aiming for simplicity during dinner. Pair them with linen tops, a ruffled number, or a knit cardigan or pullover for an effortless look.

Pair them with denim

Denim and whites know no age: they’re a powerful combination for running errands or having brunch with friends. They’re also a comfort pair when tending to grandkids or being out and about in a vast city – classic, timeless, and fun to accessorize.

Power-dress with them

Whether those white pants have a tailored fit or are on the slouchy side, they go well with a structured top and blazer as well as nude heels or flats. Roll up those leg bottoms for a preppy, off-duty look.

Accentuate them with printed tops

Striped, floral, bohemian, lacy, or ruffled – a printed top with a playful cut or accent here and there can highlight the innate appeal of a pair of white pants.

Combine them with neutrals

A long cardigan in a beige or soft peach shade can break up the all-white ensemble and make for gorgeous daytime styling.

Stylish Winter Wear For Moms

Year after year, the cold weather has become more intense, and snowstorms have become harder to predict. That’s why moms should have their winter wear ready at all times. And it doesn’t have to be the same stuffy jacket that keeps us warm. Here are a few stylish winter wear for moms.

Ponchos are great for the cold. It’s like being under a blanket as you walk around the house or step outside for errands. The armholes are big enough to allow a wide range of motion and is not at all constricting.

Say all you want about UGG boots, but they are comfortable, warm, and, matched with the right set, can be stylish. Though finding a cute pair can be a pain to do, it’s all worth it in the end.

Jeans are always great but are especially handy during colder seasons. With little touches like a beanie, a sweater, and some accessories, this look can be elegant and casual.

Got fur? Strut out with a fur or faux-fur coat and pair it with jeans for a unique contrast of luxury and casualness. Not only does it keep you warm, its stylish look knows no end.

While still on the subject of fur, a fur vest is a good replacement if a coat is too bulky for your taste or figure. The look is great for any casual activity yet chic enough for going out.

BonWorth America's Favorite Mother Daughter Store: How It All Began

BonWorth – America's Favorite Mother Daughter Store is an iconic brand that has been serving customers for more than half a century. Known for its quality women's fashion, accessories and jewelry, BonWorth has become a household name for American women, especially women who love Southern and Mid America fashion styles. Current CEO Gurumoorthy Gurusankar shares that not a lot of people know that BonWorth was close to "annihilation" several years back. Sales were poor, production was poor, and overall performance was simply—poor, for lack of a better word.

But thanks to the efforts of a well-assembled team, investors, and the founder himself, BonWorth bounced back, and now, it continues to serve the women who have grown to love the iconic brand for most of their lives.

How It All Began

Mr. Loren Wells is the man behind BonWorth. He is a true Southern American, a good ol' country boy from North Carolina who was into hunting and fishing—and apple pies, of course. He served the country in the Vietnam War after graduating from the University of North Carolina (on a football scholarship scholar). He was a Captain in the US Army.
When he retired from service, he got a job as a salesman at a popular textile company called Milliken. During a visit to his parents' home, he brought back fabric that he bought from Milliken. His mother brought the fabric to church, which proved to be serendipitous because it led to the founding of BonWorth.

CEO Gurumoorthy Gurusankar shares that Mr. Wells truly had the calling for entrepreneurship. Recognizing that he could make money selling fabric from Milliken, he gave $5 to five colleagues (at the time, employees were only allowed to purchase fabric at a maximum of $5), and brought back $25 worth of fabric. His mother sold the purchased fabric from the basement of their home.
From this very humble beginning, BonWorth was born. BonWorth, by the way, is an amalgamation of his parents' names: Bonnie and Worth.

Mr. Wells recognized that the women from the smaller towns of Southern and Mid America were terribly underserved, and so he decided that he would be the one to dress them. He established his store with a special focus on style and affordability, which is why his early products were largely three-piece ensembles that ladies can mix and match.

From buying wholesale clothes from various retailers and manufacturers, Mr. Wells soon began designing his collection of apparel. He also started opening manufacturing facilities across America. At one point, BonWorth had more than 300 stores across 31 states. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Today, BonWorth is still known for its exceptional customer service and value-for-money products; two factors that have always been the focus of Mr. Wells and BonWorth. For a lot of its customers, shopping at BonWorth has become a family tradition. No visit to any of their stores would be complete without this traditional mother-daughter shopping bonding.

Moms, Here’s How to Rock a Cardigan This Spring

Every mom has a cardigan. Why shouldn’t she? They’re timeless and the right one can go with almost any occasion. However, cardigans aren’t a one-size-fits-all type of clothing. The shapes, sizes, designs, and materials are all different. How a cardigan will look on a person will depend on a number of factors, most important of which are body type and the entire outfit.

For waist-length or cropped cardigans, it’s important to never match them with long tops. The length differences make the body look weird. Waist-length and cropped cardigans belong with fit and flare-styled dresses. They also look good with high-waist skirts. The rule is the hem of the cardigan should be at most, only a few inches past the band of the dress or skirt.

The oversized Aztec cardigans have become popular in the past years, but it’s easy to make a mistake with them. Loose or baggy bottoms are a no-no, as well as boyfriend jeans and maxi skirts. These combinations will make anyone look wide. Skinny jeans are a perfect match for them.

Wrap cardigans are like Aztec cardigans, with the same length. They are less bulky though. Avoid wearing wrap cardigans with short skirts. Instead, look for dark jeans and pants that lengthen the figure.

Boyfriend cardigans on the other hand shouldn’t be worn with full skirts or dresses since it also makes the person look wide downstairs. Jeans, knee-length pencil skirts, and even shorts are the way to go.
